I contribute sports commentaries to MSNBC.com after previously having done so for NPR's "All Things Considered" and the online magazine Flak. I have also written about music and culture for various alt-weeklies. I am a PhD-level expert on the pre-MTV Indiana rock scene, for whatever that's worth. I also was a TV talking head, thanks to my position with an IPO newsletter, for the first Internet boom. I either have been living a fruitful and engaging life, or I don't have the attention span to stick with any one subject.
