I'm from Madison, Wisconsin, and after a stint out East -- living in Boston for more than 5 years, and Brookyln for a little more than 1 -- I'm back in the Midwest. It's pretty sweet.

I've done a bunch of media -- print journalism editing, online stuff all over the place, and currently radio (The Al Franken Show). And to a large extent, my work's my hobby.

But I also really dig cooking a good meal. There's nothing like spending four hours with a homemade pot pie to put things in perspective.
