It's a changing world.  Today I received an email from MacMall advertsing a 500 GB external hard drive for $119 and a 1 TB external hard drive for $360.  A month ago I purchased the same 1 TB for $480.  Do you see what is happening?  We're going wireless.  The markets are making it easier for us to go wireless.  Now you may ask what does external hard drives have to do with going wireless and the answer is it's the foundation of the wireless network.

The more storage we have the more items we can store.  This makes us more mobile.

This is how I have things set up in my media closet (we will all have media closets in the years to come).  I purchased the Apple Extreme wireless router.  This router is connected to my DSL modem and a USB hub.  To the hub I have two hard drives connected and a printer.

The Apple Extreme connects wirelessly to my desktop, laptop, and Apple TV.  I can be in any room of the house or in my backyard and get access to all my files -audio, video, data wirelessly.

It's a wonderful thing.
