One of my favorite websites mac360.com ran a survey asking its readers about their favorite mac applications. It was one of the most popular surveys ever. So, I thought it would be fun to post the same question here. And to get started here they are... iTunes - Not the most productive app, but my mac becomes my entertainment center on the road. I like to buy TV shows, music, and now movies. It has been really handy when I am traveling. Also, I could sit for hours going throught the apple store looking for music, it is almost as good as a trip to Ameobas Mac Mail - Probaly not as full featured as Outlook or Entourage, but it is simple, clean and does the job. NOW Contact and Now Calendar- I have been using this program for almost 10 years now, it just makes sense to me. Yojimbo- A organizer to store my account numbers, passwords, quick notes, and web clippings, its mac centric interface makes it easy to learn. MS Office- I still have not found a substitute for Microsoft office, I have looked at NeoOffice and a few other open source suites but none are really ready for prime-time Safari-My mac web browser of choice, sometimes firefox or Camino, but my go to is Safari Delicious Library-A program to organize my DVD collection. iPhoto-I just dump everything I shoot into this. I wish I had to organize it better, but it works just the way it is. Disk Warrior-A magical utility to fix broken hard drives And of course, I like Photoshop, iMovie, and iDVD All best in class applications.
